How do I help?
I teach you how to figure out what you are doing and how to move in ways that don’t hurt, to become aware of your movements that regular people don’t connect to “their habits” until you teach them about habits that may be causing your pain or making it worse.
I teach your body, movements that it may have forgotten.
Then I teach you tools to use, to continue to help yourself!

Hello! My name is Christine Loo and as a Physical Therapist and a Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner, I have been teaching clients how to decrease their pain and live life to their optimal ability for over 30 years in Yorba Linda, CA.
Clients I have worked with have been young, old, men, women and teens, athletes, busy moms, and and individuals with careers using computers all day to name a few. They experienced neck pain, low back pain, knee pain, plantar fasciitis, frozen shoulders, hip pain and various other pains. There were others who experienced more general pain linked to rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia.
The one thing everyone had in common was the desire to be able to move better with less to zero pain. They wanted to work an entire day without pain meds, enjoy an evening after work with friends, enjoy a walk instead of dreading a walk, play with their grandchildren, and walk up and down stairs without pain.
I could relate, I had my own experiences with pain.
Over 35 years ago, my history of pain started with experiencing neck pain after a car accident, then low back pain after the birth of my oldest child and a few years later, shoulder, arm, hip and leg pain all at the same time. Each time I had pain, it was manageable with my physical therapy knowledge, until it wasn’t.
I was introduced to the Feldenkrais method and after a personalized one on one treatment, helping me become aware of how I was moving, learning a few movements and practicing them for a few weeks, for the first time in years, I was practically pain-free.
I learned what I was doing that was keeping me in my pain loop.
I can enjoy hiking in forests, walks on the beach at sunrise with my husband and our dog, and hiking glaciers in Alaska.
I would like to be able to live my life to my optimal ability for a long time.
I would like to age gracefully with the least amount of pain.
That is why I continue learning and practicing the many optimal movements from the Feldenkrais Method.

op·ti·mal/ˈäptəməl/adjective : best or most favorable; optimum.
“seeking the optimal solution”
We all know we can’t be perfect, but one can learn to be the “optimal” for this time and place in one’s life.
What would you like to be able to do?
Would you like to be able to recognize signs of pain and know which optimal movements to do to prevent activity-limiting pain?
Would you like to be independent in movement throughout your life?
Do you want to be able to run errands and not have to go on a coldpack afterwards?
Do you want to decrease or eliminate pain medication after an activity?
If this is what you want, I can help you achieve your personal optimal movements.
You will learn to move to the best of your ability.
You will learn movements that can continue to help you throughout your life. They can keep you independent. They can decrease your pain.
They can make a difference in your life.
How does this happen?
Like any new skill, we start slow. I start by helping you become aware of how your body is moving as well as resting. We all have habits of moving or sitting that may not be optimal. Maybe you have difficulty relaxing. I help you work on your awareness of all of that.
Then I teach your body how a movement feels and teach your mind how to practice that move. There are simple, easy optimal movements at each session to practice at home along with written and video instructions.
There are different ways of learning.
There are individual sessions, in person or on Zoom.
There are group sessions on Zoom.
And like any skill, this takes practice.
So if you are willing to learn new habits of movement and incorporate them into your everyday life,
I can help you learn and achieve your Optimal Movement.
